Around the globe, Russia is sowing destructive chaos designed to surround America with hostility and instability. Russia has pursued aggressive military actions against our allies, such as the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, Russia is conspiring with countries like China, Iran and Venezuela to unleash economic espionage and chaos, fund terror and stoke nuclear tensions, and flood our border with drugs and human trafficking. Russia has also launched direct attacks on our Homeland, through cyber-attacks on our vital infrastructure and direct attacks on our democratic elections and institutions.
Americans have always stood strong against these threats. We need to stand strong now.
The United States needs to immediately impose tougher economic sanctions against Russia and arm Ukraine to defend itself.
